Activate through the WiFi hotspot.

Connect directly to the installer hotspot, configure your device, and upload production firmware from one local page. Bluetooth is not required.

recommended one-stop install 2.4 GHz WiFi production .kiri file

Before you start

Download the firmware before joining the Kiri Bridge hotspot. Your phone or computer may temporarily lose internet access while connected to the installer network.

1. Power the device

  1. Plug Kiri Bridge into USB power, or connect it to the Mitsubishi indoor unit's CN105 port.
  2. Wait about 10-20 seconds.
  3. Confirm the LED is blinking blue quickly. This means installer setup mode is active.

If the LED does not blink blue

  • Unplug the device, wait 5 seconds, and plug it back in.
  • If the installer still does not start, follow the USB recovery guide.

2. Join the installer hotspot

  1. Open WiFi settings on your phone, tablet, or computer.
  2. Connect to the open network named PROV_KIRI_XX. The last characters vary by device.
  3. Do not enter a password. The installer hotspot is intentionally open.
  4. After WiFi shows connected, open http://192.168.4.1:8080/ manually.
A “no internet” warning is expected. Stay connected to PROV_KIRI_XX; the setup page is served directly by Kiri Bridge.

3. Save device settings

  1. In Step 1 of the installer page, enter your device name.
  2. Enter the SSID and password for your 2.4 GHz home WiFi.
  3. Review the HomeKit pairing code and other defaults. Most users can keep the defaults.
  4. Click Save and Continue.
Your WiFi credentials are stored for the production firmware. The installer hotspot may remain open until you finish installing and rebooting into the final firmware.

4. Optionally test CN105

  1. If Kiri Bridge is already connected to the Mitsubishi indoor unit, click Run probe to test the CN105 link.
  2. If the device is on your desk or powered only by USB, skip this test.
  3. Click Continue.

5. Install production firmware

  1. In the OTA upload step, click Choose Firmware.
  2. Select the kiri_bridge_... .kiri production package that you downloaded earlier.
  3. Wait for upload and validation to finish.
  4. Review the confirmation dialog, then confirm the reboot.
  5. When the reboot dialog finishes, reconnect your phone or computer to your normal home WiFi.
Use the .kiri file, not a .bin file. The package metadata helps prevent accidental installation of the wrong firmware.

6. Open Kiri Bridge and pair HomeKit

  1. Reconnect your phone or computer to your normal home WiFi.
  2. Find the Kiri Bridge IP address in your router or DHCP client list.
  3. Open http://IP:8080/ in your browser.
  4. Use the displayed HomeKit pairing code to add Kiri Bridge in the Apple Home app.
